so busy

Happy weekend!

Whew! I have been busy! Last weekend, M, the boys and I went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. We all enjoyed it. It was a hot day, so it was nice to be inside a nice cool and dark place.. filled with water. Andy loved being able to touch a live stingray! I did it too so he wouldn't be too afraid. We walked under the sharks and took lots of photos. I'll upload a couple to the fotolog when I get some time.

The big event for the weekend was of course.... fireworks. I had never fired off any fireworks of my own, in my life. Living in Arizona where fireworks are very illegal, I was excited to buy a bunch of artillary shells.. (the kind that fly up in to the night sky and explode in a million colors, just like at a real fireworks show) some huge sparklers and a bunch of roman candles.. all for less than 20 bucks!

We lit a few off on Saturday, and then on Sunday.. well.. the entire neighborhood was lit up with colorful explosions. The boys were so excited, heck.. i was excited. It was fun. We blew all of ours up.. only a few mishaps.. one of my big bombs hit the electrical wires.. but no big deal.. no harm no foul!

Anyway, it's back to the work week and the boys are happy to go back to camp. they like it there.
