Last day

Wow that was fast!

I just packed up my desk... it's only 9:30am.. now what do I do?

I am going to go pick up the boys in a little bit. My sister is staying at a local resort this weekend. They have a wave pool.. big slides and a lazy river ride.. it will be fun. We are going to go check it out this afternoon and then go visit her tomorrow..

My sister told me that she really doesn't want me to go.. that she will miss me. I know that this is the right thing for me.. at 41... almost 42 years old.. I need to get back into the industry that I can make money.. and then help my boys with college someday....

No regrets.. I will be telling the story of the move.. here in my blog over the next couple of months.

What is going to be hard for everyone is that the boys are here full time for the next 4 plus weeks.. we all are going to get used to being together.. and then I am going to go to another State. Here is the thing.. if I didn't move.. I wouldn't see the boys that much... I know that my ex is going to be a terror in the upcoming months... even if I stayed her.. Why? because she knows that I am married... and she wants to make my life misereable... I can't take that.

This morning on the way to work.. Andy asked "why do you have that empty box?" I told him that Iwas going to clean out my desk at work.. because I don't work there anymore. Andy said..."so we are really moving to Oklahoma?" Alex jumped in and said... "Andy.. it's going to be Ok.. everything will be ok" I told them both that we should just enjoy the time that we have together now.

Alex is so mature.. and I know that he is tired of going back and forth.. earlier this year, both boys told me that they didn't want to visit me on weekends anymore because they had too many things to do for school..... of course, those sounded like their mother's words but you know... I could see the anguish in Alex's face.. it was the truth. Sure.. their mother could send their schoolwork to my house.. she hasn't for 5 years.. I doubt that is going to change. No... this is the best thing for the boys.. and for me.. and I know that it will be best for everyone....

Well.. I am ready for a Happy Weekend!

62. The hardest thing that I ever had to do was to identify my sister’s dead body. I was the first to arrive at the hospital. She was killed by a drunk driver.
