Reason Number one

There are so many reasons that I am voting for John Kerry.. it would actually be hard to say that one was more important than another, but since George W is running on his belief that he makes the United States safer.. I have this to say..

Because of George W. Bush's foreign policies... we have MORE enemies than we did 4 years ago.

Because of George W. Bush's foreign policies... we have LESS friends/allies than we did 4 years ago.

Our military is stretched to the point of breaking and George W. Bush's only policy is that of fear and force.. the old shock and awe... but that is gone. We have no ability to invade another country, let alone protect ourselves at this point.

We are not stronger today.. we are much weaker.. More enemies.. less friends.. less tools to defend ourselves.... Our Country needs a change.

Iraq

We invaded Iraq to stop WMD's then it was to stop Saddam Hussein.. now it is about Democracy... Did you know that Iran is a Democracy? That's right.. although it is a terrible example of one. Do you really believe that the people of Iraq believe in Democracy? Do you really think that the U.S. will allow a leader in Iraq that disagrees with U.S. foreign policy?

Health Care

George Bush wants you to believe that the only reason for rising health care costs is outrageous lawsuits, but his own calculations say that lawsuits have caused an increase of 1 to 1.5% in health care costs.. while actual costs have gone up 45%!!! why?? because health insurance agencies and their CEOs are healthier in the pocketbook than ever before.

Economy

George Bush believes in a free market economy (unless you are talking about prescription drugs) What would be the result in 20 years if he gets his way? Well, the world will all be the same.. third world countries will do better.. and the U.S. will become just like the third world countries... a few rich people and a lot of poor or lower middle class... nothing in between. Think about it.. really, you may think that you are well off today, as you constantly search for cheaper and cheaper products at Walmart.. what is going to happen if nobody is looking out for middle Americans? Believe me a $500, tax break doesn't cover the cost of increased gas costs.

Religion

George W. Bush tells us that before he makes any decision, he prays... You may want to take a look at the man's religious beliefs since they come into play for EVERY decision he makes (or so he says) What do Evangelical Christians believe? They believe that if you do not accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior you are going to hell.. and that is the truth.. Now, just because I may have that belief, I do not think that it is wise for the President of Our Country to believe that ALL Muslims, ALL Jews, ALL Catholics, All agnostics and well.. anyone that doesn't believe what he believes.. is going to Hell.. how would that make you feel if you were president? Maybe you would feel the need to convert the world, to take advantage of your position and make change... don't tell me that he won't.

So why Kerry?

I believe that John Kerry is an intelligent and thoughtful man that has the ability to bring this country back together. He has the ability to bring back our allies and friends and to mend the wounds that George W. Bush has caused. We won't stop terrorism by kicking some Country's Ass.. even if that redneck philosophy could work, we really don't have the money to afford that firepower.. we are in serious debt as a country.

John Kerry can Unite our country again. John Kerry will bring our country together as Lincoln did after the Civil War... it won't be easy, but it can be done.

John Kerry at least realizes that something else has to be done for health care reform. I have insurance, but I work in an industry where very little people are insured.. I am willing to pay higher taxes to have national health care. I don't think we should be a country that is selfish and only cares about ourselves.. I would rather take care of our own. Do you know who gets national health care today??? Prisoners.. and only prisoners are guarenteed health care. That is sad.

John Kerry has the ability to come to the center and work for change with both parties where George Bush doesn't.

I believe that we need a president that is intelligent and is able to speak to the leaders of the world. We don't need a cowboy.. making more enemies won't work.. driving away our friends won't work...

We need a change..

Please vote on Tuesday.. I am pleading that if you do vote.. that you vote for Change and not four more years of the same.
