Today, I was surprised as I listened to talk radio from Oklahoma City. I actually heard a fair radio talk show that didn't take crap from either radical republicans or radical democrats (like me :) Instead, the talk show hosts shut everyone up (I wonder how long they will be on the radio) Anyway, this one guy called in and said he didn't care about the debates, he is voting for Bush becuase he is against abortion and that is the only thing that matters to him. So the talk show host said... "let me give you a hypothetical situation ok?" the caller said "ok" Here was the hypothetitcal situation. There is a fire in a fertility clinic. On a table there is a chilled box with 100 fertilized embryos.. they are fertilized embryos awaiting to be placed in women to attempt having a baby. At the other end of the room is a crying 5 month old baby in a stroller.. there is no one else in the building because.. it is on fire. You have a only one chance to go in the building and when you run in, you realize that you can save either.. the baby or the box of embryos.. fertilized embryos. The anti abortion advocate that will only vote for George W. Bush said.. "I would save the 5 month old baby" and the talk show host asked.. "what is your definition of life?" the caller said, "when an egg becomes ferilized and then life starts" You see where this is going.. again the show host asked.. "you would be willing to let 100 living babies die, based on your own description of what life is, and save only the 5 month old????" then the caller said.. "well, those aren't babies, they aren't alive until they are in the mother"

I thought that it was an excellent question. People that are against abortion, will vote for George Bush, even though he sent over 1000 men and women to thier deaths.. and that is just Americans.. plus there are the countless number of Iraqis that have died. Interesting.
