A couple more photos of the boys

It's too quiet

I am working from the house today and I am not used to the quiet. Today I had some leftovers from one of Alex's lunches. He loves Popeye's Chicken and he didn't get the chance to have the leftovers becuase we had a different lunch the next day. I got him extra because he loves the biscuits and the red beans and rice. I haven't been in the boys room since they left. I need to clean their sheets, vacuum and take back the video games, but I don't want to. I want everything to be where they left it. I am a very sentimental person.. I know, I know... because on my desk I have a little stone that I picked up when I was walking with Alex back during Christmas, Alex got one too and I told him that we would hold onto them, that his mother won't even think about that stone, but everytime he looks at it, it will be like a photo of his dad. Whenever I see the stone, I think of that great walk and talk that Alex and I had.. how he talked about the letters that we would write to each other. I have a little turtle that Andy painted and on my wall I have a picture that Andy painted in 1999, he was 4 years old. I was lucky to get it, the teacher saved it for me. It is one of the few pictures that I have.

Notes the boys left me. Alex says "Alex B. was here" I found that note on my desk, and Andy's says... "Hi, I miss you Dad, I hope you not sad. Love Andy."

1. I am a Dad
2. my boys are 14(Alex) and 12(Andy) years old and 1(Sammy)
3. I am divorced and have been for almost 3 years

62. The hardest thing that I ever had to do was to identify my sister’s dead body. I was the first to arrive at the hospital. She was killed by a drunk driver.

69. My favorite band is U2 but I really disliked them when I was younger. I think it was their first album that I didn’t like.
70. I sometimes realize my age, but most of the time I would never guess that I am as old as I am.
71. I had to go pee at number 54, but waited until number 70.. so I wouldn’t lose my train of thought.
72. I stopped taking my asthma medicine and I guess I don't have asthma anymore
73. I used to be a hard core punk rocker and I ran a skateshop, hung out with Henry Rollins and have a pin in my foot from a skateboard accident.
74. I am a bit of a showoff
