A brave little boy

I have a little confession to make. Yesterday, when I went to pick up my boys and I came back the second time I saw my ex-wife's mother, I called her a name. When I drove up to the house and she was outside and was telling me that the boys were with their mother when I knew that she was at work, I said "just go inside and send the boys out, or answer your phone and talk to the lawyer you old cow" It just slipped out.

Well, last night I called to talk to the boys and surprise surprise... my ex wife's father answered the phone. He first pretended that I had the wrong number and that he didn't know me, so I told him that I was taping the call and then said "today is July 31st, it is 7:45pm and I am speaking to _____(insert evil ex father in law name)" He said, "you are taping this call?, how dare you" I just told him that it was the Judges suggestion that I tape all calls (he did tell me to start taping my calls) Then I put the call on speaker phone, for effect. So he could hear his own voice. He then proceeded to threaten me, he said "I don't care if you are taping this call, you won't call my wife names in public again, or there will be hell to pay" I asked him what he meant and he said, "you know what I mean, you will regret it" I asked again to speak to my boys and said that I didn't need to talk to him. He said, "they don't want to talk to you.. " I said, "_____(name), I know about your secret life, my mother had a private investigator follow you, so you put the boys on the phone or I"ll tell your wife something else next time I see her" (ok, this was a total bluf.). Then I heard him say.. "Alex and Andy your father is on the phone,,, come and tell him that you don't want to talk to him"

and.... this little brave boy,,, got on the phone and told me that he misses me. My little Andy said that he loved me too and that he was sorry that he missed my birthday. I told him that it wasn't his fault, that I loved him so much and that he should be a good boy. I told him to tell his brother that it was ok that he didn't talk, because I know he is afraid but to tell him that his daddy loves him. He said, "Ok, dad"

The evil man standing next to him grabbed the phone and said goodbye. I talked to Andy :)

It does remind me of a song, some of you may know it.. actually all of you may know it :)

Will surely overtake you
And you become a monster
So the monster will not break you" U2-Peace on Earth

I hope that I never become a monster, but fighting back gives you a little hope too sometimes.
