Kansas City

So, I come to the midwest... maybe you think it would be a bit cooler than Phoenix... nope.. the heat follows me. Today it was 105 degrees...everyone was saying how HOT it was. Well, when I woke up it was 73 degrees.. I don't care how hot it is, when it cools off to the 70s, that is a good day.

I am at the airport hotel in KC tonight.

I think I have mentioned my buddies from one of my previous jobs. About 10 years ago, I was a trainer for a Hotel company.... a big hotel company. We would pick up our tickets on Friday and go out of town Monday morning.. do a couple of workshops or consultation visits somewhere in North America and then fly home Thursday night or Friday morning... and then back in the office on Friday... Fridays were always fun. We would fill out our expense reports and all of the training gang.. all 8 of us would go our for lunch somewhere.

We have all stayed friends, even though some of us have relocated, when one or two come back to Phoenix, we get out for dinner. Last night, they were in town... in Phoenix town.. not Mexico, Missouri... where I was.

So, at 12:30am my time, they gave me a call.. woke me up and we all talked together for a bit. We are all still pretty close...so,now when I go back to town.. dinners will be with me :)

I miss my M, today we text messaged each other all day long. It was fun.

Tonight, I am alone... and it brings back memories of my training and consulting days... 5 years of travel... 48 states and 5 provinces later, I am back on the road. Tomorrow, I get in my new company car(after a small plane ride) and drive to my new city... Tulsa. I am so excited to check it out.
