No Coincidences

I am a big believer that there are no such things as coincidences in life.... it's fate.

So, this morning I get a call from this guy that is from the United Arab Emirates. He is calling for a friend of his that wants to complete her PhD.

Anyway.. we started talking and I asked him where he was.. he tells me .. "Oklahoma..." he just finished his PhD at Oklahoma State University. As you know, I have applied for a pretty big job in Oklahoma... and so I asked this guy what he does there.. and he says... "I have been in the hotel business for 25 years" Amazing.. we started talking and he knows some of the same people that I do.. some of the same people that I will be working with if I get this job... I wouldn't have known about it.. but if I get another interview, I can tell them that I know some of the hotel owners already.. call them for a reference..

it really is strange that this guy would call me today!

62. The hardest thing that I ever had to do was to identify my sister’s dead body. I was the first to arrive at the hospital. She was killed by a drunk driver.

69. My favorite band is U2 but I really disliked them when I was younger. I think it was their first album that I didn’t like.
70. I sometimes realize my age, but most of the time I would never guess that I am as old as I am.
71. I had to go pee at number 54, but waited until number 70.. so I wouldn’t lose my train of thought.
72. I stopped taking my asthma medicine and I guess I don't have asthma anymore
73. I used to be a hard core punk rocker and I ran a skateshop, hung out with Henry Rollins and have a pin in my foot from a skateboard accident.
